Station Gallery – PA Day Camps: Fall, 2016

Station Gallery, Whitby, ON, Canada | October and November, 2016

On a Professional Activity Day in October and another in November, I lead camps at Station Gallery. I went to high school in Durham Region and spent a lot of time volunteering in the community there so it was a treat to be back in Durham and to connect with Station Gallery.

Our October camp focused in seeing things in different ways – trying on new perspectives. This theme was inspired by the exhibition on photographer Steve Kean’s work that Station Gallery had on display.

At the November Camp we made diptych artworks that explored warm and cool colours. We practiced painting, printmaking and collage. This camp was inspired by the mixed media artworks by Anong Beam’s that were on display at the gallery.
